I was born in Nova Scotia, Canada to two immigrant physicians. My father is originally from India and is a Cardiologist. My mother is a originally from the Philippines and is a Rheumatologist. I am the middle child – my sister is older and my brother is younger. I was naturalized as a United States citizen at 6 years old. Growing up in Erie, Pennsylvania, I played competitive junior tennis and enjoyed singing, acting and playing the guitar, piano, and violin.
At the age of 19, I moved to San Francisco, California to study acting in the Studio A.C.T. program at American Conservatory Theater. I also studied Drama at San Francisco State University. I relocated to Los Angeles, California in May of 2012. I graduated from Santa Monica College with Honors in Computer Business Applications. I completed my post-graduate work in Search Engine Usability and Internet Marketing at the University of San Francisco and in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies at the Stanford Center for Professional Development.
I have modeled in promotions, print, trade shows, and runway. I was crowned Ms. West Hollywood at Miss California United States 2012 and Miss India and Miss Congeniality at Miss Asia USA 2013. I have performed in theater, commercial, film, music video, and television productions in both San Francisco and Los Angeles. I have produced independent film and new media productions. I have been a member in good standing of the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists since May 2009 and an academic member of the Television Academy since June 2018.
