Anjeli Jana was born in Nova Scotia, Canada to two immigrant physicians. Her father is a Cardiologist, originally from India and her mother is a Rheumatologist, originally from the Philippines. She is the middle child, and has an older sister and younger brother. She was naturalized as a United States citizen at 6 years old. Growing up in Erie, Pennsylvania, she played competitive junior tennis and enjoyed singing, acting, and playing the guitar, piano, and violin.

At the age of 19, Anjeli moved to San Francisco, California to study acting in the Studio A.C.T. program at American Conservatory Theater and Drama at San Francisco State University. She relocated to Los Angeles, California in May of 2012 and graduated from Santa Monica College with Honors in Computer Business Applications. She completed her post-graduate work in Search Engine Usability and Internet Marketing at the University of San Francisco and in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies at the Stanford Center for Professional Development.

Anjeli has modeled in promotions, print, trade shows, and runway. She was crowned Ms. West Hollywood at Miss California United States 2012 and Miss India and Miss Congeniality at Miss Asia USA 2013. She has performed in theater, commercial, film, music video, and television productions in both San Francisco and Los Angeles. Anjeli has produced new media and independent films, most notably the award winning and critically acclaimed short, My Marina. She has been a member in good standing of the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists since August 2009 and an academic member of the Television Academy since June 2018.
